Kandinski, precursor de la abstracción pictórica a principios del siglo pasado, desearía conocer a Erik, estoy seguro, y le incluiría en parte de sus sueños húmedos e intimidades onanísticas.

ERIK NATZKE - Atmospherik (preview)

Erik Natzke es un monstruo, o un dios, o un fuera de serie para los que la mitología y la religión nos importan una mierda. Vive en este mundo, sus pies tocan este mismo suelo y tiene una mujer seguramente encantadora.

Sus trabajos en el campo del motion graphic, el arte generativo y la real-time performance se basan en la construcción y la sobreposición de pinturas abstractas, donde los colores se tranforman y diluyen dando lugar a otros como sucede en la pintura real. El resultado de las líneas parecen derivar de gestos humanos que se trasladan como brochazos computacionales. Combinación de segmentos en el plano XY simulando la 3a dimensión y construcciones temporales de espacios abstractos y expresionistas del color.

Performance for a matrix of 64 gas balloons, lights, and sound.
A room is filled with deep, evolving noises from a four-channel sound system. An eight-by-eight array of white, self-illuminated spheres floats in space like the atoms of a complex molecule.
Through variable positioning and illumination of each atom, a dynamic display sculpture comes into being, composed of physical objects, patterns of light, and synchronous rhythmic and textural sonic events. Change, sound, and movement converge into a larger form.
The height of the helium balloons is adjusted with a computer-controlled cable, whilst the internal illumination is accomplished using dimmable super-bright LEDs, creating a pixel in a warped 8x8 spatial matrix.
The sonic events, the patterns of light, and the movement of the balloons are manipulated in real time as a 45-60 minute-long performance.

El colectivo de Sao Paulo Laborg está integrado por artistas expertos en diferentes procesos de comunicación analógicos y digitales. Desde 2005 viene realizando estudios de inmersión en experiencias multimedia enfocadas a la percepción e integración multi-sensorial. Haciendo uso de vídeo-proyecciones, en sus actuaciones audiovisuales manipulan sustancias como agua, aceites y pigmentos en un laboratorio montado con acuarios, cámaras, ordenadores y equipos ópticos de alta definición. Las imágenes generadas en tiempo real se sincronizan con paisajes sonoros, revelando de manera cinemática lo microscópico. El movimiento de apariencia orgánica que se genera remite a procesos naturales como los ciclos de la lluvias y los procesos internos del cuerpo humano.

Christopher Baker’s “My Map”

Email became an integral part of my life in 1998. Like many people, I have archived all of my email with the hope of someday revisiting my past. I am interested in revealing the innumerable relationships between me, my schoolmates, work-mates, friends and family. This could not readily be accomplished by reading each of my 60,000 emails one-by-one. Instead, I created My Map, a relational map and alternative self portrait. My Map is a piece of custom designed software capable of rendering the relationships between myself and individuals in my address book by examining the TO:, FROM:, and CC: fields of every email in my email archive. The intensity of the relationship is determined by the intensity of the line. My Map allows me to explore different relational groupings and periods of time, revealing the temporal ebbs and flows in various relationships. In this way, My Map is a veritable self-portrait, a reflection of my associations and a way to locate myself.
