The Blip Festival is a four-day international cultural event taking place in New York City this November into December, focusing on the 8-bit scene - musicians and artists who use low-bit videogame and computer hardware as their creative tools. The festival is the widest-reaching event in the history of the form, boasting a roster of over 40 international artists performing and exhibiting from places as diverse as Japan, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Argentina, and across the United States.
Yes, Robot is a composer duo from Barcelona. They began making electronic music back in the days of the first trackers for the Amiga and PC computers. After many stages, nowadays their main creation tool is the Game Boy, the handheld videogame console by Nintendo. They mix the Game Boy sound with other intruments like synthesizers, samplers and Circuit Bent toys. They are co-founding members of the 8bit collective microBCN.
No us perdeu el festival. Per moure's així Mario havia de pillar més d'una estrella, pero els programadors no ens deixaven veure els efectes secundaris de la sobredosis.
